Respected and Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai and the Supreme Master TV team, Recently, “Exalted Womanhood” aired on the Fly-in News of Supreme Master TV, and it has deeply inspired me. Master revealed that She had been Vajrayoginī Buddha in the past, which made me admire Master’s Compassion and Wisdom even more. I had heard Master tell stories about Mahasiddha Sri Naropa, which sparked my deep interest in the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism. In ancient India, Vajrayoginī Buddha had appeared multiple times before the Venerated Mahasiddha Sri Naropa, granting Him empowerments and teaching Him the Method. After Naropa passed away, He left behind the precious spiritual practicing Method of Vajrayoginī Buddha and “The Six Dharmas of Naropa.” These teachings are still widely in circulation. In addition, “The Songs of Milarepa” also records the story of Vajrayogini Buddha personally initiating Jetsun Milarepa. Even more worth mentioning is that Master Tsongkhapa had regarded Vajrayoginī Buddha as His secret Yidam (Spiritual Being) as well.
The Prajna Flame behind the Vajrayoginī Buddha’s statue represents the inner energy able to purify the body and mind. The rising kundalini burns the bindu, generating immense light. Her tomahawk cuts off all worries and ignorance, and Her celestial staff symbolizes the ultimate state of Bodhicitta, while the skull cup filled with blood held in Her hand symbolizes drinking the blood, which destroys the greed of all living beings. Her profound gaze seems to be reminding every spiritual practitioner, “I’m always here waiting for you. As long as you are willing, you can go to the pristine Pure Land under my guidance.” This corresponds to Master’s compassionate commitment to us, which is an encouragement to all genuine spiritual practitioners.
