Are you ready to start planting some new seedlings in your garden? I have a tip to fix and prevent mold developing on them. If there is already mold starting to appear on the seedlings or soil, begin by gently scraping it off using a toothpick or small spoon. Then add a thin layer of fresh, dry seed starting mix over the soil. To stop mold from returning, mist the surface with a solution of 1 tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide in 1 liter or 3 cups of water. Alternatively, you can lightly sprinkle cinnamon powder on the soil to discourage further mold growth. Avoid overwatering, improve airflow with a fan or open windows, and space out seedlings or thin extras to prevent overcrowding. Healthy airflow and proper moisture control are key to mold-free seedlings. If possible, you can also place the seedlings in a sunny spot during the day.

A teacher asked the students to name an animal that begins with the letter “E.” One boy immediately answered:

“Elephant.”

Then, the teacher asked for an animal that begins with the letter “T.” The same boy said:

“Two elephants.”

Then, she asked for an animal beginning with the letter “M.” The boy then exclaimed:

“Maybe an elephant!?”
